BLADE STYLE

SPEAR-POINT

Known for its symmetrical shape and strong tip designed for piercing performance. Traditionally, spear-points are double-sided, but those knives are more specifically referred to as daggers.

BLADE STEEL

M390 STAINLESS STEEL(58-61HRC)

A super-performance, powdered-metal blade steel with exceptional edge retention and corrosion resistance. Takes a very fine edge.

HANDLE

6061-T6 ALUMINUM

Exceptionally tough, yet lightweight. Aluminum can be anodized in many colors and milled with fine detai. lt also naturally resists corrosion.

OPENING ACTION

MANUAL-AXIS® LOCK FLIPPER

The blade is manually deployed into the open position by pulling back or depressing the flipper tab.

  • Flip Fantasia

The Lowden relies entirely on the Axis Lock flip mechanism. This makes it a manual flip mechanism that fully deploys and locks into place with just the flick of your index finger.

  • Modern Miracle

The Axis Lock flipper is what really sets the Lowden apart, as the flipping action can be immediately followed by pulling the Lock's tab, returning it to its handle - only to flip it again in a truly delightful fashion.

  • Super Steel

Thanks to its M390 steel and Cerakote, this 2.79-inch spearpoint blade is ready for just about anything.

Benchmade’s Unique New EDC Knife Puts Fidget-Friendliness First

The Lowden combines modern style and premium materials with a uniquely compelling yet rarely deployed mechanism.

    • Stolen from my dreams

I described a manual action, axis flipper to my wife years ago, bonus points for aluminum handles, and it’s everything I hoped it would be. It has taken the EDC from my mini CF bugout. It’s a little bigger in the pocket, but it feels better in my larger than average hands and the flipper is fun to fiddle with. The symmetric design also makes it really pleasing to look at, even for non-knife people. Could not be more stoked for a knife.

    • Awesome knife!

A great knife. Has a satin look and feel to it. The design gives it a good grip. Super smooth operation. You can flip it open and closed using the lock mechanism. Takes a little bit to get the feel of it. A cool way to fidget with it. Very sharp edge. We will see how it holds up over time.

    • My new favorite!

Appreciate the sleek design with effective flipper function. Lockup is secure, requiring slight attention for optimal performance.

      MEET THE LOWDEN™

Designed with purpose and built to last, the Lowden™ sets a high bar for durability and performance matched only by our promise that it will be yours, for life.

      HOW IT'S MADE

Every Benchmade knife begins with high-grade steel, laser-cut for precision and strength. Each blade is meticulously ground, beveled, and finished to exacting standards, ensuring exceptional performance and durability. Our handles are milled and machined in-house to the tightest tolerances, then hand-assembled and sharpened by expert technicians. With over thirty years of manufacturing excellence behind every edge, our knives are proudly crafted in our state-of-the-art facility in Oregon City, Oregon.

      USE & CARE

Proper care and regular maintenance help make your Benchmade knife yours, for life. Here are some tips for keeping your Benchmade in peak condition:

      • Prevent Rust:All steels, regardless of grade or price, can eventually rust. To avoid corrosion, always keep your knife clean, dry, and lightly lubricated. If rust or spotting appears, a quality semi-chrome metal polish can usually restore the finish.

      • Hand-Wash Only:Always hand-wash your knife with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry thoroughly.

      • Use as Intended:Benchmade knives are precision cutting tools. Do not use your knife as a pry-bar, screwdriver, chisel, or punch—unless specifically designed for those functions.

      • Sharpen with Care:If sharpening at home, avoid grinding wheels and high-speed machinery, as they can damage the blade. Use appropriate hand-sharpening methods for best results.

      • Tighten Hardware:Over time, handle, pivot, and pocket clip screws may loosen. Use T6 and T10 Torx drivers for adjustments and apply a small amount of releasable thread-locker to maintain secure fittings.
